Relpax Migraine Tablets (50.00 g)

Relpax is used to treat migraines. Helps relieve headache and other migraine symptoms (including nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light / sound). A quick treatment will help you return to your normal regimen and may reduce the need for other pain medications.
Relpax belongs to a class of drugs known as triptans. It is affected by a certain natural substance (serotonin), which causes a narrowing of the blood vessels in the brain. It can also relieve pain by acting on certain nerves in the brain.
Method of application: for acute migraine attacks Relpax is recommended to be taken immediately.
For adults 18-65 years of age, the recommended starting dose is 40 mg.
In case of recurrence of pain within 24 hours, it is recommended to repeat the reception, but not earlier than 2 hours.
The maximum daily dose is 160 mg.
In the presence of impaired liver function, the dose should not be increased.
Contraindications

- severe dysfunction of the liver;

- uncontrolled arterial hypertension;

- coronary heart disease or suspicion of its presence;

- occlusive peripheral vascular disease;

- cerebrovascular accident or transient ischemic attack;

- application for the relief of hemiplegic, ophthalmoplegic or basilar migraine;

- joint use with other agonists of serotonin 5-HT1 receptors - analogues;

- simultaneous administration with drugs: ketoconazole, itraconazole, erythromycin, clarithromycin, josamycin, ritonavir, indinavir and nelfinavir;

- within 24 hours before or after administration, ergotamine or its derivatives should not be used, incl. metisergide;

- children's and teenage age up to 18 years;

- rare hereditary diseases - lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose / galactose malabsorption;

- Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
